LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Former North Carolina senator John Edwards’ mistress Rielle Hunter hogged the limelight once again on Thursday night when she made an appearance on the “Oprah Winfrey Show”. The interview was successful in grabbing many eyeballs as this was the first time that Rielle Hunter gave a television interview since the former Democratic vice-presidential candidate publicly acknowledged his illicit relationship with her which was also followed by his admittance of the paternity of Rielle Hunter’s two year old daughter. Although this was the former senator’s mistress’ first television interview, she is known to have revealed details about her much publicized affair with John Edwards in magazine interview earlier.

It was obvious from the way the interview with Oprah Winfrey unfolded that Rielle Hunter wanted to take the opportunity to give a clear message that she was in no way responsible for the destroying the marriage of her former senator lover and his wife Elizabeth Edwards as according to her, a third person can never be called a home wrecker. Rielle Hunter took Oprah Winfrey through the events that ultimately culminated into an affair with the former North Carolina senator. She stated that people perceive her in a negative way due to the affair.

In the “Oprah Winfrey Show”, Rielle Hunter also talked at lengths about the infamous interview with ABC’s Bob Woodruff in which the ex-senator admitted his affair with her while adding that everyone close to John Edwards had warned him against doing the interview except his wife Elizabeth Edwards. Rielle Hunter revealed that the former senator’s wife came to know of the affair after the widely watched interview.
