Los Angeles, (GaeaTimes.com)- For Hollywood actor Randy Quaid, his tale of woes seems to be unending these days. After getting entangled in a highly sensationalized legal battle over forfeiture of payment to an inn where he and his wife Evi had allegedly boarded last year, the actor was remanded in police custody this week by an angry judge.

The incident followed after the 58 year old actor and his wife made an appearance to a Santa Barbara court on Monday. The superior Court Judge Frank Ochoa ordered that the celebrity couple be taken in to police custody as he had found them to be disrespectful towards the court, after they had flouted several court summons in relation to the California based inn case, in the past. The latest one that they had given a slip on was scheduled on the April 12th.

The elder brother of actor Dennis Quaid was later released along with his wife after they coughed up a sum of $100,000 as bail amount. They were also let off with the order of making a court appearance on Wednesday. This time one can expect that the couple has learnt from their earlier mistakes and will take the court summons seriously.

The actor of such reputed movies as “Brokeback Mountain,” “Independence Day” and “National Lampoon’s Vacation,” Randy Quaid lost favor with the court as he repeatedly evaded the court summons along with his wife. Randy Quaid and his wife were earlier dragged to the court when a California based inn had filed charges against them of invalid credit card defrauding, in the month of September last year.
