Rocker BRET MICHAELS is reportedly awake and “in good spirits” after suffering a brain haemorrhage on Thursday night (22Apr10).
The Poison frontman, 47, was recovering at home in Texas from surgery to remove his appendix when a blinding headache prompted him to check into hospital, where doctors discovered he had suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage.
He was put in intensive care, where he underwent tests to determine the cause of the bleeding.
He is now said to be in stable condition, “in good spirits” and “talking”, according to a new TMZ.com report.
Michaels, who is currently shooting U.S. reality show Celebrity Apprentice, has already scrapped a series of concerts following his appendectomy earlier this month (Apr10).
Celebrity Apprentice star Donald Trump said he was “deeply saddened”, adding: “He’s a great competitor and champion, and I hope he will be fine.”
