LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Shawn Southwick and Larry King have filed for divorce, attempting to bring about an end to a thirteen year long marriage. It has been reported that although they have filed for a mutual divorce, the papers were not filed together. Larry King had been the first to file for the divorce, with Shawn Southwick’s lawyers closely following suite. This is not the first time that Larry King is getting divorced, before this he had already divorced his seven wives eight times, having married one of them twice.

It has been reported that there is still some contention between the two regarding post divorce settlements. A spokesperson for Larry King refused to divulge any details, saying that the top priority of the talk show host at present is his children. Apparently, according to sources, Larry King has filed for joint custody of the two sons of the couple, aged 9 and 11. On the other hand, it has been reported that Shawn Southwick is looking for a physical custody of the children. Moreover, Larry King has also filed for a revoking of the agreement by which he had transferred his property to his wife.

Larry King also hopes that the judge would rule against alimony and spousal support. Apparently, their marital life had been on the rocks for quite some time, with problems reaching a high after Shawn Southwick began to suspect that something was cooking between her husband and her sister, Shannon Engemann. However, this report has not yet been verified by either of the sources, and the official reason for seeking a divorce is, as has been recorded in the court documents, is “irreconcilable differences.”
