Dixie Carter Cause Of Death Revealed

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- A day after the death of Dixie Carter, the famous actress who ruled the small screen with her southern charm and wit, the publicist of the actress has reportedly revealed details about the cause of the death to a media source. The publicist of Dixie Carter, Steve Rohr confirmed to the media that the actress expired on Saturday morning in Houston but restrained from disclosing the cause of death. However reports claim that Steve Rohr later cited the cause of death to be complications arising from endometrial cancer, a kind of common uterine cancer. However, there is still no official statement released by the family mentioning the cause of the death of the actress. It has not been made public whether she was suffering from the disease for a long period.
The husband of Dixie Carter, Hal Holbrook on Saturday confirmed the news of his wife’s death and maintained that it is a personal tragedy which the family would like to mourn in private. Hal Holbrook had asked the media to provide the family with the needed privacy at the time of such a tragedy. Fans of Dixie Carter have already started pouring condolence messages for the family.
Dixie Carter is remembered by the Americans as witty and brave ‘Julia Sugarbaker’ in “Designing women” a serial which ran on the small screen for seven years. In her 60s also she had enthusiastically participated in many projects. She was seen in seven episodes of “Desperate Housewives” playing the role of Gloria Hodge, the mother of Orsen. Though for only few episodes her performance was praised by viewers and critics. She was nominated for the Emmy awards for her role in “Desperate Housewives”.
