MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Vipul Shah is all set to produce his next film. The film is going to be a remake of the Tamil blockbuster “Kaakha Kaakha.” In fact, this is going to be the third time that the film is going to be made. After the original Tamil version, the film had been reincarnated on screen once more, this time in Telugu. Considering that both the films managed to do real well at the box office, here’s hoping that the Hindi version of the film will also be bringing in good news for all the cast and crew of the film.
However, making the film did not come very easy for producer Vipul Shah. Initially, he had zeroed on in Southern actress Genelia D’Souza for the leading female role. However, she had to turn down the offer as she had already committed to another film, and thus there arose a problem with the dates. Next, it was the turn of the director. Vipul Shah had originally intended the director of the original Tamil film to be at the helm, but Gautham Menon refused to direct the film a third time, since he had already directed both the Tamil and the Telugu versions.
Finally, it has been reported that the lead roles in Vipul Shah’s next venture will be assayed by Bollywood heartthrob John Abraham and Southern beauty Asin. The film is going to be directed by Nishikant Kamat, who is known for having directed “Mumbai Meri Jaan.” The film is set to roll sometime in May this year, or maybe June.
