LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The heartbreaking tale of 35 year old Kenny Easterday was aired on TLC on Sunday night. The documentary which was titled ‘The Man with Half a Body’ featured the unbelievable story of this 35 year old man who defied all the odds in his life so that he could live a normal life just as any of us. As the title suggests, Kenny Easterday survives with just half his body above his waist, owing to a rare condition which is known as sacral agenesis which resulted in the poor development of his spine as a child.
As the documentary ‘The Man with Half a Body’ was showcased on TLC last night, the audiences were able to have a closer look at the extraordinary story of Kenny Easterday, the day to day hardships that he has to encounter as well as the manner in which he overcomes every hurdle in order to live a normal life. The 35 year old man was just six months old when his legs were amputated but since then he has never chosen to use prosthetic legs while instead opting for his hands or a skateboard to move.
Although doctors had presumed that he could live for a maximum 21 years as people suffering from his condition normally die young, Kenny Easterday has been living for 35 years now, bravely with his indomitable spirit to defy the challenges that life has to offer. The documentary ‘The Man with Half a Body‘ showcased him living a normal life with his fiancee Nicky as he takes care of her as well as her two children. However, now he hopes to father his own child.

I am in awe of Kenny and am also really curious as to how he would possibly father a child. The article says he was left with a “half” body from the waist up. Most men I know do not have a penis above their waist. Has kenny been able to save the “bits” required to pro-create? His Fiancee says they have a normal sex life… does the penis function “normally” without the sensory nerves required via the spine from the brain? If it is at all possible, I believe Kenny would make a great father, as he has already shown. Good luck Kenny - I think you’re going to need it mate! |
