Judge to hear arguments in Hopper divorce
LOS ANGELES — Dennis Hopper’s divorce case is set to go before a key audience — a judge.
A hearing Monday in Los Angeles could determine how much spousal and child support Hopper’s wife Victoria Duffy Hopper will receive while the case is ongoing.
Hopper’s attorney says Hopper is terminally ill and unable to undergo chemotherapy as he battles prostate cancer.
Hopper and his wife of 14 years have been locked in the bitter feud since the “Easy Rider” star filed for divorce in January. He is seeking a quick end to the marriage. His wife contends it’s an effort to cut her out of the actor’s estate.
She says she is running out of money and has nowhere to move with their 7-year-old daughter.
Hopper’s attorney argues the couple had a prenuptual agreement to avoid a costly breakup.
