Hollywood siblings ANJELICA HUSTON and DANNY HUSTON will pay tribute to their acting family’s contribution to cinema at an upcoming Los Angeles film festival.
The stars are the children of late director/actor John Huston, known for his work on classics like 1952’s Moulin Rouge, The Misfits (1960) and The Man Who Would Be King (1975), and their grandfather is actor Walter Huston.
Their legacy will be celebrated at the TCM Classic Film Festival when Anjelica and Danny will present Hollywood Dynasty: The Hustons on 24 April (10).
The event, held by U.S. cable channel Turner Classic Movies, will feature a screening of John Huston’s The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948), which was recently restored.
Anjelica Huston, 58, tells the Associated Press, “So many films get forgotten about and deteriorate, so it makes my family and myself very happy to see the kind of restoration Turner puts into these movies. It’s very exciting, like a renaissance.
“My father’s films are still very much a part of the American conscience. It’s so encouraging to see these films reissued.”
The festival will also show individual films starring Anjelica and Danny - the first time they’ve had their movies screened at the same event.
And Anjelica is proud to see their work alongside their dad’s: “(It) makes us feel sort of dynastically active, so it’s a lovely thing.”
The TCM Classic Film Festival takes place from 22 to 25 April (10).
