LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The third episode of the current season of “Celebrity Apprentice” was broadcast on NBC on Sunday night. Apart from the interesting highlights of the reality show which included the elimination of baseball star Darryl Strawberry, last night’s episode also grabbed attention as it was dedicated to D’Marco Ray, who worked in the sound department of the show but lost his life in the month of February this year following a battle with cancer.
After last night’s show concluded, a note appeared at the end which highlighted that the segment was in the memory of D’Marco Ray, who breathed his last due to kidney cancer earlier this year, following his diagnosis in April 2008. The death of the “Celebrity Apprentice” crew member had caused sufficient distress to the reality show team which propelled them to dedicate an episode of the show in his memory. The gesture showcased by the officials of the reality show must have indeed been comforting for D’Marco Ray’s wife Kristal, who is reportedly expecting her first child later in the month of June.
Meanwhile, D’Marco Ray, who was also part of the current season of “Celebrity Apprentice” had contributed in a variety of other reality shows which included “Project Runway: All-Star Challenge”, where he was the sound supervisor. Apart from these, D’Marco Ray had also earned acclaim for his association with many independent movies. According to reports, the USC School Of Cinematic Arts has also made an in-memoriam piece for him, in order to recognize his impressive works as well as extensive experience.
