LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The former Governor of Illinois has been chosen to be a part of the reality show “The Celebrity Apprentice,” which is in its third season. Originally called “The Apprentice,” the show changed the name when the producer of the show, Donald Trump, decided to change the format to include only celebrities. Rod Blagojevich had recently been impeached from his position after he was convicted for trying to sell a Senate seat for personal gains. The trial for the offense is scheduled to be held later this year.

In the meantime, Rod Blagojevich is being spotted in various avatars on television and beyond. He has turned into an author, a radio show host and is currently, the star of a reality show. In the first episode of the reality show “The Celebrity Apprentice,” Rod Blagojevich turned out to be one of the most ridiculed apprentices to have taken part. Once, for instance, he was severely mocked by one of the judges, Curtis Stone, the celebrity chef, who commented that it was a ludicrous sight to see a politician of his stature donning a queer hat and serving food. In another instance, he was criticized by Joan Rivers when he served up cold food, despite being assigned the position of the head waiter for the task.

However, all did not turn out to be bad for the disgraced Governor. He was in a way praised by Donald Trump when he went to know his fate, who applauded his fighting spirit. Moreover, despite being the unofficial butt of all jokes among the contestants, Rod Blagojevich did manage to strike up some friendships.
