LOUISIANA, (GaeaTimes.com)- The news has been released that the rapper Mystikal is out of jail. However, there seems to be some confusion regarding the matter. On one hand, the release date as per the documents of the prison was stated to be Jan 14, 2010. On the other hand, some reports state that the man had been released sometime in the last week. Although no concrete information regarding the matter is available yet, it is being speculated that Mystikal might have been released about almost ten days prior to the scheduled date, on Jan 4.

Mystikal is out of jail after having served a sentence of six years. He had been convicted of sexual assault and extortion of his hairstylist, and had been convicted along with his two bodyguards. The bodyguards had shot the video of the sexual acts he had forced upon his hairstylist. Initially, Mystikal had denied the allegations of the assault and extortion, but lost his chance once the tape had been discovered from his residence. He, along with his two bodyguards, had pleaded guilty and had been sentenced to six years in prison.

Just a year later, Mystikal had been convicted yet again under the charges of tax evasion. He had been sentenced to an additional year in jail, but that had been waived and incorporated into the six year sentence he was already serving. While in prison, he had released an album, an anthology of the biggest hits that he had delivered during his career. Mystikal has not yet released an official statement after he came out of jail.
