CHARLIE SHEEN has been praised as a “consummate professional” by TV bosses after returning to the set of TWO AND A HALF MEN following a domestic dispute over the holiday (09) season.
The actor was back to work at the comedy show on Monday (04Jan10), and shot his first episode on Friday (08Jan10) - just days after he was arrested and jailed following a Christmas Day (25Dec09) fight with his wife Brooke Mueller.
Writer Chuck Lorre confirms there have been no changes to the production schedule as a result of the scandal, insisting Sheen is taking the ordeal in his stride.
Lorre tells Eonline.com, “He is doing as well as he can under the circumstances. Charlie is a consummate professional and I must tell you, it was really gratifying (at Friday’s shoot). He was 1000 per cent there for us from the first moment when we started shooting and it was a great night for us. One of our strongest episodes. And Charlie was just terrific.”
Sheen was taken into custody by cops in Aspen, Colorado after a fight with Mueller turned nasty.
The actor, who threatened Mueller with a knife during the heated argument, is facing charges of second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief.
