WELLINGTON - Suffering a hangover? Drinking plenty of water, a high GI diet and some exercise could help you get out of the condition.
“You have the same feeling of nausea, but the best thing you can do is to have a high GI breakfast,” Stuff.co.nz quoted Christchurch dietitian Lea Stening, as saying.
Consuming a high GI, or glycaemic index diet released sugar quickly into the bloodstream which inturn boost energy.
“Try Corn Flakes, peaches and bananas,” she said.
Stening also said that some outdoor exercises might also help to get back to normal.
“Just get out there and get walking,” she added.
Stenning further added that high-energy breakfast should be followed by a healthy lunch, such as salmon, salad and wholemeal bread. Drinking plenty of water can also offer some relief. (ANI)
