Barton Fumes Over Cancelled Show

MISCHA BARTON was furious when her latest TV show THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE was axed after just two episodes - insisting network bosses didn’t give the programme “a chance.”

The actress landed the lead role as a supermodel in the fashion-based drama series, which was executive produced by Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher.

But bosses at America’s The CW network scrapped the show after just two weeks on air, following disappointing ratings.

Barton is adamant The Beautiful Life should have been given time to find followers, insisting the trend of chopping TV shows in such a short time will soon cripple the industry.

She tells Britain’s Heat magazine, “It was all so political. They didn’t give it a chance. I’m sure it would have found its audience because it was a great show and was really high fashion. It takes a while for stuff to find a following. I feel more bad for the other girls in it, because it deserved to be seen.”
