Lawyer: Woods’ brother did not get proper care

WARWICK, R.I. — A lawyer for Oscar-nominated actor James Woods has told a jury that a hospital in Rhode Island did not do enough to care for Woods’ brother, who died after going to the emergency room complaining of a sore throat and vomiting in 2006.

But lawyers for Kent Hospital said Michael Woods’ symptoms weren’t consistent with someone having a heart attack and that his heart was already so diseased that it would have been impossible to save him.

James Woods’ attorney, Mark Decof (DEE’-koff), said earlier during opening statements Monday that the actor’s brother wasn’t seen by a doctor until an hour after he arrived and went into cardiac arrest on a gurney in a hallway. He says the doctor who treated Woods failed to perform basic care for a patient with a severe heart condition.

MANY THANKS TO ACTOR JAMES WOODS FIGHTING R.I. KENT HOSPITAL MEDICAL STAFF NEGLECTING THEIR WORK AS MICHAEL WOODS WAS BEING BROUGHT TO EMERGENCY ROOM IN GREAT DISTRESS. A NURSE FAILED TO NOTICE HEART ATTACK AS WELL AS ER. DOCTORS FAILED TOO = THOSE PEOPLE ARE DANGEROUS, SHOULD BE FIRED FOR THE SAKE OF HOSPITAL PATIENTS.
THANKS AGAIN TO MR JAMES WOODS, GREAT ACTOR, WUNDERFUL MAN.
