PARIS HILTON has thanked Los Angeles police after jewellery stolen in a recent burglary was returned to her on Thursday (22Oct09).
The socialite was devastated when thieves targeted her home in Sherwood Oaks, Los Angeles and got away with an estimated $2 million (£1.4 million) worth of gems.
Cops in L.A. have arrested a group of teenagers believed to be responsible for a spate of burglaries in the area, and have managed to recoup some of the stolen goods, including jewellery belonging to the hotel heiress.
Hilton’s publicist, Dawn Miller, tells
People.com, “Paris went to the police station last night to retrieve her stolen belongings. She didn’t get everything but fortunately most of her jewellery was returned. She is really pleased and thankful to the LAPD for their help.”
At least four women were held in Los Angeles on Thursday (22Oct09) on suspicion of involvement with break-ins at Hollywood homes belonging to stars including Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge.
Cops have reportedly also linked the suspects to raids on houses belonging to Orlando Bloom and Rachel Bilson.
