LONDON - Queen of Pop Madonna has revealed that her insurance policy stipulates that she will not ride a horse while on tour.

She says that the clause was added taking into account the fact that she had suffered minor injuries and bruising to her lower back in April this year, after she was thrown off a horse in the Hamptons, New York.

According to reports, the animal was startled by lurking paparazzi at the time.

The accident took place during a break in Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet tour.

Though she has fully recovered from the incident, the superstar admits that she has not climbed back onto a horse since.

“(I haven’t been on a horse) since my last accident in the Hamptons. I fractured my spinus erectus (bones in lower back),” the Daily Star quoted her as having told U.S. talk show host David Letterman.

“My insurance company wouldn’t allow me to ride while I was on tour,” she said.

Despite knowing that horse riding can be a dangerous sport, Madonna insists that it gives her a whole new perspective on Mother Earth.

She says: “You’re flirting with danger when you ride a horse. But) you see the world of nature in a different way.”

In 2005, Madonna was left with three broken ribs, a broken hand and a collarbone after another horse riding accident. (ANI)
