NYC Opera, union reach contract agreement
NEW YORK — The New York City Opera and the union for its singers have reached a contract agreement.
The opera’s management and the American Guild of Musical Artists of the AFL-CIO announced the two-year agreement Friday.
The union’s board of governors unanimously ratified the agreement. Union members will vote on it within a week.
The union also represents the opera’s stage managers, dancers, stage directors and assistant directors.
The opera and the union representing members of its orchestra entered a new contract in June.
