LONDON - A remake of the 1987 classic film Dirty Dancing may be soon possible, as film bosses want to cash in on the popularity of the movie.

According to Production Weekly, filmmakers at Lionsgate productions are working on a script with Uptown Girls writer Julia Dahl, reports the Daily Express.

The earlier film starred Patrick Swayze as a dance instructor, which went on to amass 133 million pounds at the worldwide box office.

Also, the actor saw himself launch into international superstardom.

A sequel Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights has already been made in 2004.

Moreover, a theatre production has been entertaining audiences on Broadway and in London’s West End. (ANI)
