O’DONNELL SLAMS SPLIT REPORTS

Gay comedienne ROSIE O’DONNELL has blasted U.S. tabloid reports she has split from her longtime partner, dismissing the allegations as “ridiculous”.

The National Enquirer and the Globe claim the outspoken star and her wife Kelli Carpenter-O’Donnell, who wed in California in 2004, broke up earlier this year (09), and have been living separately for months.

A source tells the Enquirer, “Kelli needs a breather from Rosie right now, and whether she’ll make their split permanent remains to be seen. Kelli has felt suffocated in the relationship for a long time. She loves Rosie, but she can no longer cope with her unpredictable mood swings and deep depressions.”

However, a representative for O’Donnell has denied the allegations, insisting the couple is currently apart because the funnywoman is on tour.

The spokesperson tells People.com, “There is no truth to this - at all. This is ridiculous.

“I get this rumour every time Rosie travels for work. Right now she is on tour with Cyndi Lauper.”

O’Donnell and Carpenter-O’Donnell have four kids.
