‘Idol’ finalist Bo Bice gives clarinet to schools

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Former “American Idol” finalist Bo Bice has donated a clarinet to a Nashville instrument drive.

Bice, who was on the show in 2005, personally delivered the instrument Saturday to collection officials, who said he used it when he was younger. It was described as in mint condition.

The drive was organized by the Nashville Alliance for Public Education and the Country Music Association.

The instruments will be turned over to music programs in local public schools.
