Madonna adoption ruling Friday
BLANTYRE, Malawi — Madonna’s lawyer says Malawi’s highest court will announce Friday whether the pop star can adopt a second child from the southern African country.
Lawyer Alan Chinula says the ruling will be issued at 9 a.m. Friday.
Madonna had appealed after a lower court ruled she could not adopt Chifundo “Mercy” James because she had not been screened over time by Malawi authorities. The court said the rules were bent when Madonna adopted her son David from Malawi last year.
