Boyle’s defeat in Britain’s Got Talent was probably ‘good thing’, says Morgan

LONDON - Britain’s Got Talent co-judge Piers Morgan has said that it ‘probably was a good thing’ that Susan Boyle did not win in the final of the show.
The talent contest’s unlikely global star appeared “exhausted and emotionally drained” after finishing second on May 30, producers said.
Boyle, 49, from Blackburn, west Lothian, had to be taken to north London’s Priory clinic after police were called to her central London hotel, and doctors assessed her under the Mental Health Act.
BGT producers became concerned about her when she reportedly began acting strangely backstage, following her defeat to dance act Diversity.
Morgan said that he was glad that she was placed in second, as she would now have the chance to rest and recover.
“Probably it’s a good thing all round that Susan actually didn’t win,” Sky News quoted him as saying.
“(She) has a chance now to be slightly under the radar for a while and let Diversity bask in the glory of their great triumph,” he added. (ANI)
