Film maker Viveck Vaswani is having the final laugh. Contrary to speculations floating around Shah Rukh Khan’s availability for completion of his pending portion in ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’, the superstar has finally shot for the entire film. With a three day shooting stint that was held earlier this week, ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ is now 100% complete, something that makes Viveck Vaswani a relieved man.

"We were all shooting non-stop day in and night out and so many of us were tired as hell. Still, everyone was spirited enough to get the film past the completion mark. Shah Rukh had to shoot for a ‘qawalli’ number and the moment he spared his dates for us, everyone was super charged enough to get the film rolling", smiles Viveck who has patiently waited for Shah Rukh Khan to get well from his shoulder injury.

It is common news that Shah Rukh’s shoulder condition had worsened when he met with an accident on the sets of ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ a few months back. At that time, Viveck had felt terribly guilty about the mishap; more so because it had taken place on the sets of his film.

"It is rather unfortunate that something like that had to happen on my sets. He is first and foremost a friend and I by no means want any harm to him", he had said, "I have anyways waited for some time so a few more weeks here and there doesn’t make a difference. I will wait till he gets well. The ‘qawalli’ is an important part of the film and I want him to begin shooting for it only when he is completely well."

However, rumour mongers were having a field day over the months gone by since they felt that the film would never get completed or get indefinitely delayed due to Shah Rukh Khan’s supposedly dilly-dallying with the dates.

"While I as a producer wasn’t worried, my so called well wishers were busy building their own stories. They were swearing and betting amongst them that Shah Rukh would never shoot for the film. Well, the results are there for all to us. He has not just completed his part but we are now also 100% through with the principal shoot of ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’. Do I need to say more", he questions in a sarcastic tone.

The film maker continues to maintain that having Shah Rukh Khan in the film is a not just a huge asset to ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ but also a personal favour.

"Of course he has done me a favour by consenting to be a part of my film", he nods in agreement, "I am not just happy but gratefully happy that Shah Rukh Khan walked into the project without asking any questions. When I requested him to join the cast of ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ he just asked me about the details related to logistics. Now that’s the greatness of this man."

The relieved producer has finally come out with the release plans for the film as well.

"The film is going to release on 18th September this year", he announces, "The date has been finalised after much deliberation. We are making good progress on the post production of the film and are quite positive about meeting the deadline."

Also starring Sushmita Sen, Fardeen Khan, Mohit Chadda, Tara Sharma, Johny Lever, Parikshat Sahni, Bina Kak, Howard Rosemeyer, Suchitra Pillai, Viveck Vaswani himself and debutant Isshita Sharma, ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ is written and directed by Mudassar Aziz. Lalit Pandit is the composer while choreography is by Ahmed Khan and Howard Rosemeyer. - SAMPURN (Joginder Tuteja)
