LONDON - Bono’s Spider-Man musical is finally hitting Broadway after he found investors to fund the lavish production.

At one time, ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark’ was described as the “biggest fiasco in Broadway history” because of the multi-millions needed to bring it to the New York stage, reports The Daily Express.

Last year, the show became the most expensive in Broadway history even before the theatre doors had opened.

But things took an upturn when in November, Bono, 49- who co-wrote the score with U2’s The Edge- found a superhero in old friend, legendary rock promoter Michael cohl, who agreed to help find the cash.

The show’s original producer David garfinkle has confirmed that the funds have been found and the extravaganza opens in autumn.

Now they are on the lookout for an actress with the star power to play Mary Jane, after Evan Rachel Wood exited. (ANI)
