Moscow, Jan 4 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has accepted an invitation of former California governor and Hollywood action star Arnold Schwarzenegger to go skiing.

“@Schwarzenegger: Thanks. We agreed - I remember. We’ll definitely find the time,” Medvedev wrote on Twitter.

Schwarzenegger, who stepped down Monday as California governor, used his Twitter account to invite the Russian president to ski with him.

“Thank you! @MedvedevRussiaE. I hope you’re having a great new year and can’t wait to see you again - maybe skiing?” the “Terminator” star wrote.

Medvedev, whose hobby is mountain skiing, wished good luck and success in new undertakings to the 63-year-old Schwarzenegger.

“@Schwarzenegger, wishing you success in this new phase of your life. There are many more interesting opportunities still to come!” the Russian president wrote.

Schwarzenegger was California’s Republican governor for seven years. He was first elected to the post in October 2003 and was re-elected in November 2006.

He met Medvedev last year and showed him the Silicon Valley.

Schwarzenegger later went to Russia as the head of a delegation and visited the high-tech research hub of Skolkovo.
