LOS ANGELES - Hollywood star couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have donated $2 million to a wildlife sanctuary in Namibia where they spent their holidays with family.

The Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary is home to mostly orphaned and injured animals that cannot be released back into the wild. It also offers luxury accommodations which raise money for conservation projects.

“We continue to be impressed by their hard work and dedication to the people and conservation of the land and wildlife of Namibia,” usmagazine.com quoted Jolie as saying.

Namibia also holds a special place in Jolie’s heart as she gave birth to daughter Shiloh here in 2006.

“We want her to grow up with an understanding of her country of birth,” said Jolie, 35.
