Rupert Everett slams Jennifer Aniston’s ‘tasteless’ rom-coms

NEW YORK - British actor Rupert Everett has slammed Jennifer Aniston’s career.
Everett has accused the 41-year-old actress of making ‘tasteless’ romantic comedies, though he blames her career on Hollywood’s conservatism, reports the New York Daily News.
In an interview with BBC Radio 4, the ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ actor said that he lost jobs after coming out, blaming his lack of roles - and that for women - on show business being ‘run mostly by heterosexual men’.
“There are lots of women and lots of men in the business that the powers that be decide are the right people and they’ll stand with them for quite a long time,” he said.
Everett argued that no matter what fans may think, the industry decides who will become A-list.
He then used the case of Aniston to further illustrate his point.
“Jennifer Aniston will just have one too many total flops. But she’s still a member of that club,” he said.
“And she will still manage to - like a star forming in the universe - a whole lot of things swirling around and suddenly solidifying into yet another vital tasteless rom-com that will glitter next to the Crap Nebula,” he added. (ANI)
