Jay-Z splurges on Christmas gifts for Beyonce

LONDON - Christmas proved to be financially damaging for rapper Jay-Z. He ended up splurging over $350,000 in a single store on last-minute gifts for wife Beyonce.

The 41-year-old singer spent a long time at Herms boutique on Christmas, picking up gifts for his beloved wife, reports thesun.co.uk.

“Jay was in a private room of Herms doing last-minute shopping. He had a guard standing watch outside,” said a source.

He apparently ended up buying a number of Birkin handbags, which cost around $120,000 each, apart from other gifts.

In fact, the rapper was so engrossed in shopping that he asked the eatery where he planned to have lunch to deliver his food instead.
