‘Mad Men’ star January Jones signs on to be the new face of Versace

MELBOURNE - ‘Mad Men’ star January Jones has signed on to be the new face of Versace.

A Versace spokesman confirmed that Jones, who plays Betty Draper in the TV series Mad Men, will be the face of 2011 spring/summer campaign, to be shot by veteran fashion photographer Mario Testino, reports the Herald Sun.

Jones, who also appeared in ‘Love Actually’ and ‘We Are Marshall’, reportedly struck up a friendship with Versace’s creative director Donatella Versace on a magazine shoot last year, which might have led to her being offered the role.

A native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Jones left her hometown at age 18 to pursue a modeling career in New York City.

The ‘American Wedding’ star has also been a model for model for Abercrombie and Fitch. (ANI)
