NEW YORK - Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are reportedly planning to buy a home in a controversial 300 million dollars complex in Puerto Rico.
The couple has set their eyes on a luxury penthouse apartment at the Paseo Caribe in San Juan, reports the New York Post.
Their spokesperson refused to confirm the property purchase, but said, “They are looking into creating new projects in San Juan and Latin America in development, entertainment and film.”
However, the couple’s decision has sparked outrage as local residents are said to be concerned about overbuilding on the shoreline, the sale of public land to a private developers, and preservation of the 17th-century fort.
“It is still early days. There is no certainty they’ll buy because of the controversy,” said a source familiar with the Paseo Caribe site.
Anthony had irritated Puerto Ricans in September when he cancelled one of his sold-out concerts an hour before the performance. (ANI)
