LONDON - Queen of Pop Madonna is said to be so determined to make her movie ‘W.E.’ a success that she has been courting the Royal Family for details.

Madonna, 52, who is directing the movie based on King Edward VIII’s romance with US divorcee Wallis Simpson, has already received tips from some, including Prince Edward and Princess Michael Of Kent.

She has also had audiences with the Duke and Duchess Of Gloucester, Buckingham Palace staff and top historians in her quest to piece together the story of the affair which led to the abdication crisis of 1936.

“The entire Royal Family were contacted and asked if they would like to meet Madonna and production staff - and many took up the opportunity,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

“Some senior figures turned it down. But others, including Princess Michael of Kent, Prince Edward and the Gloucesters, jumped at the chance.

“When the Palace were contacted by the film company for guidance on historical fact, they were a bit apprehensive at first given the subject.

“But when they heard Madonna was behind it they lent their support and arranged for key people to get involved,” the source added.he film, which has been shot in London and France, is due for release next year. (ANI)
