Whoopi Goldberg backs Mel Gibson, questions his ex

NEW YORK - Academy award winner and social rights activist Whoopi Goldberg has backed her old pal Mel Gibson.

Goldberg was present at the launch of the Pure Wow.com at the Renaissance Hotel and gave her views in reference to the explosive tapes of Gibson screaming at ex-lover Oksana Grigorieva.

“I can’t defend someone who got angry like that. But we all get angry. I’ve cussed people out. I hope no one finds those tapes,” the New York post quoted her as saying.

She also questioned the validity of Grigorieva’s domestic violence case against him, which has been postponed until an alleged extortion plot against Gibson is investigated.

“I just wonder what happened with her court case. Now that’s a story,” she added. (ANI)
