WASHINGTON - Gwyneth Paltrow teamed up with husband Chris Martin for the soundtrack of her new film.

Paltrow plays a washed-up country singer opposite Tim McGraw as her husband-manager in the movie ‘Country Strong’.

And for the costars’ duet, “Me and Tennessee,” they turned to none other than Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

Paltrow first sang on screen in the 2000 Duets and is reportedly going to sing on Glee this season.

“‘Me and Tennessee’ is a special song that perfectly fits the movie. It’s about a couple who are maybe irreparably damaged,” People magazine quoted Paltrow as saying.

“But then the chorus is, ‘Then that old song comes on, together we’re singing, forever we’re singing, that old country song.’ So it’s about country music bringing people back together when they’re having a difficult time in life,” she added reciting an excerpt from the song.

In addition to “Me and Tennessee,” Paltrow has three songs on the Country Strong soundtrack, which will be released during last week of October. (ANI)
