LOS ANGELES - A fake company claiming to be Rihanna’s representatives has landed the singer in trouble, who has been slapped with a lawsuit worth $4.7 million.
According to legal documents filed Thursday, a Brazilian promotion company called “Unique Sports and Marketing” signed a $1.7 million agreement to book Rihanna for three shows in November in Brazil.
However, Unique claims the people who signed the contract on Rihanna’s behalf - a company called Vegas Style Entertainment never existed. And now Unique is demanding $4,685,000 from Rihanna.
