Paoli slated to do a Kangna?

September 15, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Some of you might remember that Kangna Ranaut went through terrible stalker experience in the recent past. In the recent turn of events, it seems that Paoli will portray Kangna’s plight in Bappaditya Bandhopadhyay’s next film. Kangna was stalked by a guy named Akash Bhardwaj, who used to send her love letters on a daily basis. Later on the guy turned obsessive and was arrested by the police.

Speaking about her role, Paoli said that there is a common thread between her character and Kangna’s incident but she does not need to imitate her as she has dealt with fan obsessions in her life as well. Speaking about the casting for the movie, bappaditya said, “While I’m doing the test shoot now, I shall begin the actual shooting for the film on October 20. I have plans of recreating a situation that’s inspired by Kangna’s real life incident.”

Kangna’s spokesperson said that stalkers are the part and parcel of the celebrity lifestyle. The representative also shared that when Kangna was shooting for ‘Manu weds Tanu’ one of her obsessed fans used to send kites to the actress with his name and number written on them. In the upcoming flick Rahul will play the role of the obsessed fan and scare the hell out of Paoli.
