Paris Hilton denies cocaine charges

LONDON - Socialite Paris Hilton has rubbished claims that the cocaine found in her purse in Las Vegas belongs to her.
The 29-year-old beauty was arrested for possessing cocaine after her car was stopped by police in Las Vegas. Her boyfriend Cy Waits, who was in the driving seat, was booked on charges of DUI.
She insists that her purse must have got mixed up with someone else’s as she partied in the club, reports dailymail.co.uk.
Hilton was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of possessing cocaine and was released at around 2.30 a.m. local time Saturday.
The hotel heiress is said to have hired high-powered Vegas attorney David Chesnoff to handle the case.
She was previously arrested for possession of marijuana after the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The case was then dropped at a midnight court hearing.
