Jeremy Renner To Star In “Mission Impossible: IV”

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Actor Jeremy Renner, who gained wide acclaim for his true to life portrayal of Sergeant William James in the 2009 war flick “The Hurt Locker” is all set to join the star-cast of the highly-popular action thriller series “Mission Impossible.” All the fans of the noted actor surely have something they can look forward to as Paramount Pictures revealed in an announcement on Thursday that Jeremy Renner would be seen playing a pivotal role in the upcoming series of “Mission Impossible.”

According to latest reports, the 39-year-old actor would be seen edging the role of Tom Cruise’s partner in the upcoming installment of the highly-acclaimed action thriller which is scheduled to hit theaters in the month of December next year. The forthcoming project of Paramount Pictures which would witness the Oscar-nominated actor teaming up with Tom Cruise to enthrall the viewers, is going to be directed by Brad Bird while the filming of the much-anticipated movie is set to commence from this fall. Adam Goodman, who is the production chief of Paramount Pictures is reported to have told media outlets that one of the main reasons that enabled the makers of the action thriller flick to zero in on Jeremy Renner was his ‘Daniel Craig quality.’

Other actors who were supposedly considered to play the character which ultimately was bagged by the “Neo Ned” star include Chris Pine of “Star Trek” fame, “Inception” star Tom Hardy, Christopher Egan, Kevin Zegers as well as Anthony Mackie who co-starred with Jeremy Renner in “The Hurt Locker.” Meanwhile, all those Jeremy Renner fans who can’t wait to see the actor in the action thriller, “Mission: Impossible IV” releases on December 16, 2011.
