‘Peepli Live’ Box Office Collection Soars Upwards

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Aamir Khan has done it again! The actor producer of Bollywood with a Midas touch has again managed to hit the bulls eye and his home production ‘Peepli Live’ has raked in a whopping 70 million in its opening day! The success of the movie has taken the actor by surprise as well as its serious theme and absence of any established or glamorous actor put the veterans in doubt about its commercial success. The actor earlier tasted success with films with realistic and relatively unsafe subjects like ‘Taare Zameen Par’. The film directed by newcomer director Anusha Rizvi managed to impress the critics as well and the special screening of the film that was held a day before its release turned out to a success.

A source close to actor Aamir Khan has said even before its release the film ‘Peepli Live‘ managed to recover its cost by means of music rights and satellite rights. The producers are surprised at the massive success of the film. The amazing thing is that the film is doing extremely well in single screens as well. On its opening day it got 90 to 95 percent opening in almost all centers. A number of Bollywood trade experts thought it would do moderately well but the success of the film has silenced them completely. The film has no big stars except Naseeruddin Shah and the director is a debutante as well.

‘Peepli Live’ is slated to become one of the biggest hits this year. The film has also been released in the overseas market.
