Katherine Heigl’s baby daughter recovering after heart surgery

MELBOURNE - Katherine Heigl’s 17-month-old daughter Naleigh is on the road to recovery following heart surgery.
Katherine and hubby Josh Kelley adopted Naleigh from Korea in September 2009 and the tot recently underwent an operation to repair a congenital heart problem.
However, the little one is now recovering.
“Her heart is 100 per cent fine now. She has a scar, so she won’t be wearing bikinis, which is fine by us,” Katherine said.
The actress also opened up how the adoption process was sped up for her and Josh, as the couple wanted to adopt a child with health problems.
“A lot of children don’t find forever homes because they’re on that special-needs list, even if it’s because of something as simple as her mother smoked cigarettes for a month, not knowing she was pregnant. That’s not so huge that you couldn’t handle it,” the Age quoted Katherine, as telling America’s Harper’s Bazaar mag. (ANI)
