PINK and LINDA PERRY got the party started at an annual gay and lesbian benefit dinner in Los Angeles on Saturday (01May10), by performing a crowd-pleasing duet of the songwriter’s hit track WHAT’S UP?
The former 4 Non Blondes singer-turned-songwriter helped organise An Evening With Women: Celebrating Art, Music & Equality, an event which raises money for the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center.
Perry, who wrote the pop star’s hit Get The Party Started, entertained the diners with a rousing rendition of her own popular song with her pal, before Pink helped auction off a scooter to raise cash for the good cause.
The winning bid for the Vespa came in at $12,000 (£8,000), and the lucky recipient was allowed to pose for a photograph on the bike with Pink while she smoked a cigarette.
The evening also saw Heart rockers Ann and Nancy Wilson reteam for a four-song set, including their international hit Barracuda, while stars including Renee Zellweger and Sarah Silverman attended the gala.
