SARAH SILVERMAN has failed to save her self-titled comedy show from cancellation - TV bosses have reportedly axed the series after three seasons.

The Sarah Silverman Program, which earned the funnywoman an Emmy Award nomination last year (09), was rumoured to be faltering in 2009 after a series of budget cuts, but the star’s sister Laura, who also appears in the series, pledged to save the show by launching a campaign on Twitter.com.

She wrote, “If you want more Sarah Silverman Program Tweet @ComedyCentral and let them know. It’s up to you! Power to the People, Right On.”

But the drive failed to sway bosses at TV network Comedy Central who have now decided to axe the programme, according to Deadline.com.
