‘Clash of the Titans’ conquers US box office

LONDON - Director Louis Leterrier’s Clash of the Titans has hit bull’s eye at the US box office by earning $61.4 million at the weekend.
The blockbuster, starring Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Alexa Davalos and Gemma Arterton, left behind “The Last Song”, “How to Train Your Dragon” and “Alice in Wonderland”.
According to imdb.com, Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too? was runner up with $30.2 million earnings marking a triumph for singer-actress Janet Jackson. Animated adventure How to Train Your Dragon slipped from the top spot to three with $29.2 million collections.
Singer-actress Miley Cyrus’ new drama The Last Song debuted at number four with $16.2 million, while Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland slipped from two to five with nearly $8.3 million in earnings.
