SYDNEY - ‘Gladiator’ star Russell Crowe is set to be honoured with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in April.
The 2404th Walk of Fame star will be given to the New Zealand-born, Australia-raised actor at a ceremony outside the Kodak Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard on April 12, reports The Sydney Morning Herald.
Crowe has been nominated for an Academy Award three times - for ‘The Insider’, ‘Gladiator’ and ‘A Beautiful Mind’ - and won the gold statue for the Roman epic.
The honour comes a month before his latest movie, Ridley Scott’s ‘Robin Hood’, which opens in Australia on May 13, the day after its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
The proud wife Danielle Spencer of the actor is also expected to witness the event while director Ron Howard and late night TV talk show host Jay Leno will speak at the ceremony. (ANI)
