Can Jeevas concert win over IPL?

March 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): IPL mania has taken over the entire town and almost all the shows in cinema halls are brimmed with empty seats now. But actor Jeeva is confident that his ‘Katcheri Arambam’ will stand out as a sure-footed winner in box office.
The film will hit screens today (March 19) along with ‘Mundhinam Parthene’ directed by debutant Magizh Thirumeni. Apart from these films, couple of Hollywood release – ‘Legion’ and ‘The Book of Eli’ has already taken its place with more expectations.
Nonetheless, Jeeva comes up with self-advocacy saying that audiences have always welcomed good films and nothing would take away their interests from watching quality entertainers. ‘Katcheri Arambam’ features Poonam Bajwa starring opposite Jeeva in female lead with South India’s happening actor J.D. Chakravarthy performing baddie role.
Jeeva ensures that Vadivelu’s comedy tracks will be a laugh-riot and the Telugu version has Brahmanandam taking on the comedian role. The film is directed by Thiraivaanan and is produced by Jeeva’s father R.B. Choudary of Super Good Films.
Bollywood’s voluptuous actress Nisha Kothari has shot with Jeeva for an item number that has been shot with a production cost of Rs.1Cr.
