Reports About Penn’s Oscars Fight Not True

SEAN PENN’s publicist and Oscars representatives have moved quickly to dismiss reports the actor was kicked out of the post-Oscars Governors Ball on Sunday night (07Mar10) for fighting with his estranged wife’s new man.
Overnight reports suggest Penn was asked to leave the party after picking a fight with The Hurt Locker producer Greg Shapiro, who is dating the actor’s estranged wife Robin Wright.
But a rep for the Oscars insists Penn wasn’t even at the ball and his publicist tells X17.com that she escorted her client from the Oscars ceremony immediately after he had presented Sandra Bullock with her Best Actress award.
She says, “Sean did not get banned nor kicked out of the Governors Ball or any other function.”
