Mischa Barton sued over unpaid rent

LONDON - Hollywood actress Mischa Barton’s landlord has slapped a lawsuit on her because she allegedly owes $21,000 in unpaid rent for her New York apartment.
In a lawsuit filed Thursday, lawyers for property company M.R.A. Realities Inc. claim the former “O.C.” star has been ignoring all requests to pay rent for the last three months, reports imdb.com.
Barton had rented the property at $7,000 per month in New York’s trendy Tribeca neighbourhood on a one-year lease in September. She had planned to stay in the city while filming her now defunct TV show “The Beautiful Life”. The series was axed the same month.
The landlords are seeking the outstanding rent as well as legal fees.
