WASHINGTON - James Cameron’s 3-D epic ‘Avatar’ has become the second highest grossing film of all time.
The film marked its fourth straight week as the No. 1 box office hit in the US with 48.5 million dollars.
‘Avatar’, which has made 1.3 billion dollars so far, displaced ‘Lord of the Rings: Return of the King’ as No. 2 worldwide this weekend, reports the Christian Science Monitor.
The alien flick stands just below ‘Titanic’ that made 1.8 billion dollars.
Titanic, starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio, is the last movie that Cameron directed. (ANI)
