Underwood Engaged To Fisher

Country star CARRIE UNDERWOOD is engaged to marry Canadian ice hockey player MIKE FISHER.
The American Idol champ, who has been dating the Ottawa Senators sportsman since last year (08), accepted Fisher’s proposal on Sunday (20Dec09), according to People.com.
Confirming the news, Underwood’s representative says, “I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier.
“No wedding date has been set at this time.”
Underwood, 26, went public with her feelings for Fisher, 29, in the liner notes of her latest album, Play On, calling her boyfriend “amazing”.
She wrote, “Thank you #12. You are the most amazing addition to my life! You are such a wonderful person and have had such an amazing hand in the building of this album and in the growth of me as a person.
“I love you so much! You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day.”
Underwood has previously dated Jessica Simpson’s ex, American football star Tony Romo.
